gophers...

Hi Fellow Pit Enthusiasts -

I've been soaking up every post on this forum for a few years
now; you guys are all great.

To help with my initiation into the "club" here are some photos
of the gophers I have in my collection.

Here are some shots of a male hypo sonoran from Mr. Tom Stevens:

Here's some picks of a female ghost also from Tom -- she's a beauty:

Now here's some shots of a real nice albino SD female from Tom:

The male (again from Tom -- thanks Tom!!):

Lastly, a pair of killer het SDs from Jason Nelson:

One thing that I'd heard about SDs but never experience until I
got these was how, uh, aggressive they are when feeding. These
little albinos hit an F/T hanging off of tweezers like yellowfin
hit sardines on a hook. Great stuff!

Gorgoeus gophers. And you are absolutly correct. It's no joke when it comes to SD gophers feeding response. I also have a SD from Tom, and that male comes flying in my direction when food is offered. SD's are great snakes to work with.

Thanks!

I have to say that after having read tons and tons of posts on this forum over the years I've been hesitant to dive in;
sort of like like a nervous kid dancing around the edge of a pool being told the water's fine.

So I really appreciate the comments .

That ghost is awesome. And I'm not usually that big on "designer" reptiles. But wow.

And I'm not usually that big on "designer" reptiles.

Hehe...I was the exact same way. That is until I met Tom and he showed me the light so to speak.

Thanks again for all the nice comments.

Those are beauties, man. Those Sonorans rock! What are your 2 het SD's het for? I really need to get an albino SD male. Here's my SD female that was removed from someone's property out near Beverly Hills.

Thanks! I remember seeing that shot of your SD before I think; very nice. I've got a soft spot for normal SDs as those were the first snakes I had as a kid.

What are your 2 het SD's het for?

Mine are het for Klumpers albino. There are shots of them on the Envy website that are out of this world.

The McGurdy albinos are also unreal; those are on my (rapidly-growing) short list .
