Triple Threat

prehistoricpets Jun 24, 2009 07:17 PM

Here are 3 beautiful retic morphs which recently hatched out here at Prehistoric Pets!

Picture 1.) is a Lavender Albino Titanium

Picture 2.) is a SUPER SUNFIRE!! (The Homozygous Version of the Sunfire Trait!)

Picture 3.) is an Anthrax!! (The Homozygous Version of the Granite Back!)

Retics have proven to be an amazing canvas for selective breeding, and we aren't even close to being done yet!

Enjoy the photos and let us know what you think?

Take care,
Jordan

Anthrax is recessive trait with Granitebacks being the visual hets. NERD has the founding father who is a visual het for 2 traits the Anthrax morph and a color morph.

Jay did you get any of the hypermel/anxanthic color morph in you clutch?

prehistoricpets Jun 25, 2009 05:08 PM

Technically this is an incomplete dominant trait. (*Visual hets would dictate so).... As far as the secondary color mutation (anerytheristic) it doesn't look like it, if it is part of the equation for this clutch it is too subtle to be 100% certain. Once they shed we should have a much more clear picture.

The granite back hets are really extreme and are a nice affordable way to get into this trait.

Also on a related noted the parents to this clutch are direct offspring from Anthrax (The patriarch of this trait)

The image is probably just too large for your computer to download in a reasonable amount of time or something. Here's a link to a smaller size:
