slant front tanks in the US?

kyle1745 Sep 14, 2003 06:55 PM

I am wondering if anyone knows of anyone or company that makes slat front tanks in the US. I am thinking of either building some or just going with 4 20gal highs. At this point I just think building them it too much trouble, when I can get 20gal highs for $25. Any info would be great, also any opinons ideas. I want to make a 4 tank display in my living room.

the only thing i can suggest is www.glasscages.com

they are acrylic and not glass though, unless you can pick them up in person.

Where are they located? Do they have any pictures online or am I just over looking them? I'll shoot them an e-mail about it. Thanks for the info.

They are custom building a few gecko tanks for me right now, and I have seen them for years at shows. The pick-up at the nearest show to you is a very attractive offer.

Thanks for the link, I think if I go the slanted style I will have them built by the place in TN. We will see. I'm trying to find the right type of wood I want to use for my tank stand. I have been looking at some books for some ideas. I still need to buy a router, and they are not cheap.

That looks like the tanks they have at petsmart for FBTs and other amphibs. Its a nice tank but kinda pricey.

Kyle, im not sure if you have a dremel. But you do they sell router attachment tooks for the dremel. I love mine. Now that i think about it, i think dremel makes a router, or something similiar, im not sure...

For smaller things a dremal would be fine, but not for making stands and etc.
