Ok, i have a few questions on shipping, i searched the fourm to try and figure this out but didn't really find the answers i needed. So here are my questions:
About how warm should it be for you to use a cold pack? just round about
About how cool should it be to use a heat pack? again an estimate is fine
Also what shipping method is the easiest to go through. I have read through the posts how ups you need to ship alot or something and us post office is horrible. I am not going to be a huge shipper just every once in a while. So can someone help me out?
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Ship with UPS... just sign up online and you can pay for shipping with a credit card and print out the labels. They are also the only carrier besides USPS that knowingly accepts reptiles (excluding the airlines).

As far as the heat/cold pack info...

Heat packs are on a case by case basis, it depends not only on the lows, but also the highs. The low may be 51*f, but what if the high gets into the upper 80's? That heat pack combined with high ambient temps will cook the gecko during transit. Geckos can withstand extreme cold for short periods of time, but heat is a real killer. I have had people send me geckos that cooked during transit because of improper heat pack usage.

Cold packs are a bit easier... I use a cold pack if the highs get above 85*f. One thing to remember about cold packs is that they will only last around 4-5 hours. They are mainly to keep the package from overheating on the ride to airport or while being loaded onto the plane.

Remember to check both your local temps, along with the high/low of the destination. Weather.com is a good source of info.

Good luck with shipping.
