I paired my lipstck sunglow female with my male hypo genetic striped mot het alb male this year. Here are some pics of the courting/breeding process. I want to know what you guys think is going on.

This is what I got after they where first paired up a month and a half ago.....She shed after a week or two when they where introduced to each other but I never saw a swell or copulation......

Then I saw this last week and did not know what to think.

Now this is her tonight. I want to seperate them and feed them but I do not want to pull him out earlly...

How soon do you guys think I can pull him and clean/feed? I do not want to pull him earlly and miss out but I think he has already gpotten the job done. When I seperate them they will only be apart for a day and then I will reintroduce him into her cage.

I really hope he's done his job and she's gravid. She's AMAZING and I'd love to see her give you a litter.

Unfortunately.....

I don't see anything in the pictures you posted to indicate he's "courting". In the first two pictures he's very relaxed. Almost looks like he's sleeping. His body is simply draped over her body, his skin is very loose and relaxed and he's just "there". Then in the next picture, she's on top of him. Sort of like she doesn't care if he's there or not.

When a male is courting a female, they're any thing but relaxed. The male's body is zig zagged across the female. His head is pointed in a downward/dominant manner. His body is firm and tensed. He gently squeeses or jerks from time to time. When a male boa is actually courting..... That guy is in "total control".

Now, she is a "big" girl. She's got girth and lots of rolls..... I don't know if that's swelling or if she's just very well fed. Please don't be offened by that comment. I'm just trying to be honest about what I see.

Personally, I'd pull that little male and put a different male in there. If she is swelling.... You might need a larger, stronger, more experienced male to get the job done.

Anyway, I was just trying to give an honest opinion. I'm sorry if I've offended you in any way.

He was originally all over her when they where first paired up. She shed @ 2 weeks later but I never saw any copulation. I am thinking of adding my pos het alb mot male into the cage. She is a virgin 04 pick of the litter lipstick produced by the Burkes. She is about 7 and a half feet long and weighs in the 30lb range. I have been maintence feeding her since I got her last year from Pete Kahl. She is def a big girl but has good muscle tone. There is no offense taken. She has not eaten in over 2 months.
