If an egg lays out over night, do you think it could still survive?

most eggs are laid during night hours or early EARLY morning.

They will be just fine.

Josh, Lowes has the stuff but I have started to use the egg crate lighting stuff if you know what that is. It comes in like a 2'x4' piece and its made to fit up in the floresent lighting fixtures. It has like a bunch of 1/2" squares its made of. You can get that at Lowes or Home Depot too. Anyways I have great luck with cutting pieces that will fit down in the egg container, stacking them 2 high like that and resting the eggs on that with a quarter or half inch of water in the bottom. Not enough water to come up to the bottow of the eggs but just short of that. Sure works great for me and I dont have to worry about getting the vermiculite, water mixture just perfect and keeing it just right. Just keep some water in the bottom of the container and just short of touching the eggs. Works great.

Let me guess you were NOT a boy scout were you?

ok here is how i do it. I put a layer of vermic in a plastic shoe box. then i put the lighting grate on top of that.and then place the eggs on top of that.

so heres the question? what have you done with the eggs up to this point? are they with mama? if so at what temps?
