This female was WC in 2005 west of Sanderson. She was bred with a male collected in the same spot in 1992.

The sire:

----------------------------------------------------------------
East of Sanderson female (collected in 2003)

Sire (collected in 1993)... from the same cut as the female:

----------------------------------------------------------------
An F1 produced by WC adults (1993) from east of Sanderson:

The WC male paired with the above female... collected on the same cut as the parents that produced her:

the clutch:

The original WC female that started my busy lineage (WC 1993 and also gravid by the black male pictured above):

----------------------------------------------------------------
An F1 female produced by WC adults from east Sanderson (Dam=the WC female pictured above and Sire=a dark blairs with alternates that was collected by a friend from Houston.) She's in her pre-lay shed now.

WC male (1993) that has been paired with the above female (I need to take an updated photo):

The word is NICE! At least I can lay claim to 3 of the wild-caughts shown there, that both wife Barb, Mike Geiger & I were honored to have found through the years of Sanderson searching.........

Damon,
Very nice animals and incredible photography as always. I thought that you didn't mess with the alterna that much anymore.
Good to see those old snakes still producing. My '93 9-miler is about to lay as well.

Found this AM:
WC east Sanderson female (1993) with her new clutch of 9 eggs:

Her clutch was sired by this male... collected by John Fraser in the same spot as my female:

I attempted the same pairing last year but both this clutch and another produced my female's daughter were unfertile... the first time I've had that happen with this lineage. This season I gave the black male plenty of cage time with another combative male and a supplemented diet... who knows if it helped, but I'm happy with the result.
