respiratory infections

jdog74 Jun 26, 2009 06:16 PM

What is the best way to get rid of a respiratory infection?? I have a few corn snakes that I just took in a few months ago that have one. I've used baytril before from the vet but it didn't work that great. So before I head to the vet again I am looking for some advice, thanks

I have used tetracycline successfully to rid a transpecos ratsnake of respiratory ailment a few years ago. Check with your vet on dosage/availability. You may still be able to find it in fish shops or petstores that handle fish, but not sure. Also, not sure how you would work out dosage if purchased that way.
