quickest ovulation!

JonathanPG Jun 27, 2009 12:01 AM

Help me out please, everyone who can, so i have a 3 1/2 yeah old female pied at about 1500 grams, she was bred to a spider 66% pos. het pied, and a mojave pos. het pied, since oct, she has not eaten since dec, has not lost ANY weight, shed about 45 days ago and still no sign of ovlulation, been peeking in her tub everyday since her shed, nothing, until she has been showing signs of laying around her water bowl and even IN the water bowl, NO she does not have any mites, not for the past years that i have had her and i was looking at her, picked her up and i see a pretty big bulge on her underside like she had a sm to med size rat, BUT i did not witness ANY ovulation, can she be prepping for one or did she already have a small ovulation, please help, im going crazy! BACK to the original question, what is the quickest ovulation everyone has witnesses or experienced? thanks again, sorry for long post.

Without a picture it is hard to say... She probably has not ovulated yet and you are seeing the pre-ovulation build.

I have had girls go from no or small palpable follicles to ovulation in a VERY short time, but that is usually not a good sign. When I've had that happen slugs are often coming.

on a side note, if you hatch out normal pieds from the clutch (no combos) you won't know for sure which male proved...

Hope this helps.
