THIS SUCKS!!

I was doing my normal Saturday morning cleaning today. When I went by my Ghost female's cage...she struck the glass trying to get me. She's never done this, so I though I may have startled her when coming into the room. I went about my normal routine...starting with the babies first...then the yearling...so on & so on. I noticed a familiar "smell", but thought nothing of it. When it was her turn to get cleaned...she continued to strike at me. I thought wow...WTF is she pissed at. Apparently she thought there were babies in the cage and was trying to protect them. I had NO idea she was starting to ovulate. She didnt swell for me and was eating like normal ect. The only things that makes any seanse is I put my Sharp poss het Anery male in with her for a couple days..but....both shown NO INTEREST. I pulled the male and didnt think twice. He was probably in there long enough so spark an ovulation.

Now...my next though is why didn't dump all her ova?? I don't bother my females nor do I handle them often except to clean. Any thoughts would be appreciated....below is what I was surprised with....man...what a shame.

Thanks for looking- Ryan DeCaro

They were actually VERY small slugs.....maybe a bit smaller than turtle eggs...but larger than robin eggs if that makes sense. She doesnt look to have lost any weight really...probably due to the fact they were only starting to develope....I am very grateful mom seems fine....I'll try feeding her tomorrow and getting her readt for next season.

Thanks for looking-

I'm glad she's ok too. I guess the whole getting her primed up for the fall is out of the question. It can ALWAYS always be worse Bill...I'm glad she rebounded. We'll talk soon...

Take care- Ryan

She's an '06 OT Poss Super Ghost. I had some "special" plans for her this coming fall...but all in all..I'm VERY happy she's OK. There's always next season! Gotta stay positive
