To be honest, there is so many loosley using Coral as a term. In
all actual reality, Pastel Albino's are a clean wash of pink
while the Corals are a more beaded coloring of red. As for the
Lipstick, it is a Bloodline that Tom Burke produced. If it's not
from the Lipstick Line, it is ot a Lipstick- though breeding
Lipstick offspring will not produce all lipsticks, it is a
color that is relating for a name. I hope this helps.

so what ya think coral or lipstick?? like i said she is just starting to finally show some color... what's your opinion?? Thank's,,,,,,

Looks like a lipstick sunglow that is coraling up. IMO, the lipstick seem to have nice color right away and only turns better. The coral line seems to coralize with color as it matures. I think you have a nice looking lipstick that will coralize as it matures. GL.

Very pretty sunglow. You can't tell visually if she's a coral or a Lipstick.... you'd have to have "papers" so to speak. As the above poster said, all a Lipstick is, is a bloodline by Tom Burke that generally has a lot of color and contrast. If BOTH parents are Lipsticks then you can say she's a Lipstick. If one is a Lipstick and the other isn't then you can say she's a Lipstick line sunglow. This is how Tom Burke told me to market them in his opinion the last time I spoke with him. Sure some will be more true to the Lipstick name and display extraordinary color and contrast, but they are all technically Lipstick lines if they came from that line. Corals I really feel should be the same way. I would want to know that the boa I purchased was from several generations of boas that had proven to have more coraling than your standard albino or sunglow before I spent the extra money on a "coral." They are just selectively bred albinos and sunglows so the coral part is a polygenic trait, not an actual morph. I hope that helps some!

well i personally know the breeder. I was there when he purchased his female dh coral/lipstick from peter kahl, as well as the albino motley. I just cant tell if she is both lipstick & coral if that's even possible. or one or the other. thank's for your info.

What it means is that you should have a colorful snake when matured. It also means you will get more colorful snakes if bred back into the lipstick line or the coral line.. Good luck and keep us posted with pics.

Pithons is right; you should have a very colorful snake that only gets better with time. You can't tell if it's coral or Lipstick, they blend together. It's like asking if a mixed locale boa got the Colombian or the Suriname part, only you're dealing with additive color so it's a positive thing. If you need to label her, she's a Lipstick line coral albino. I explained why I would say "Lipstick line" over "Lipstick" in the other post. If she's from PK's coral albinos then she is a coral albino, some will just display more coraling than others, but that will develop over time and be great fun to watch!
