Luckily, two years ago I installed a temperature controlled misting system to go off when the temps hit 95F.

a lot of fun there I guess!
My congrats for your facility, one of the best seen around...!
Would you please let me know how big (the measures/space floor) are those cages? It seems you keep some trio of Cyclura together, any agonistic behaviour between females?
Thanks and cheers
Stef

Funny you ask, after 6 years of harmony, the females are fighting and I have no empty enclosures at this time to separate them. Sadly, I am going to be selling one in the next few weeks.

While we rarely get over 95 degrees here I have retreats so mine can pic and choose the temps they want to be at any time. From the looks of your gorgeous facilities it appears you have retreats as well. I have temp gunned my Iguanas both Green and Cyclura still basking with body temps of over 110 degrees routinely....

Tom, this post will send green iguanas keepers reeling! you know you are not supposed to go over 95 degrees! Are you crazy! You might let them actually get to their optimal temp. See their real behavior! Please dont post this on the other forum, this is not information they found in a book.

Please read with the sarcasm that was intended. and then it will get pulled
I dont know what got into me.

I know people have NO idea how hot many lizards CHOOSE to be and thus they get fat and die.....

Another weird thing I noticed is that mine live for years and produce fertile eggs and babies annually. I've never seen metabolic bone disease and rarely give vitamen supplements even. There must be something wrong with the way I keep them as I don't experience any common captive problems...Even my Varanids display social behaviour in public. Shy ones like these allow you to open the door and film their most intimate moments and don't flee for their lives upon sight of the keeper. It's amazing how lizards act if you just allow them to be lizards...lol
