Zahara's kids out of the goo

AbsoluteApril Jun 29, 2009 11:00 AM

Thank you so much for all the kind comments and nice responses to my ‘wait is over’ thread. It really means a lot to me. We all share such a passion for these creatures and it’s a wonderful thing. Can you tell I am very happy this morning?

I got everything I was hoping for in this litter! Nice big healthy active babies, they are larger than the babies she had in her ’06 litter. Quite a few seem to have gotten Zahara’s chunky contrasting saddles with the hole in the center and most of them have nice crisp white around the tail saddles and are very 'clean'. None got any ladder-tail type markings from the father’s side but I won’t complain.

Babies all try to be in the same spot:

I counted 17 babies and 2 slugs.

Fresh out of the goo! (Bad indoor lighting and camera flash, but some pics are better than none)

Another shot of that one:

One of my favorites so far, has a pink head:

This one has lots of big chunky saddles:

You can see how most of the babies laterals are pretty light with the gray stripe on top:

Here was one of the few darker looking ones with gray over all the laterals:

That’s it for now, I’ll post some post-shed pics when I can. Thank you again for looking!
