Northern Pine

Steve_Craig Jun 30, 2009 08:02 PM

Here's an 09 female I just picked up from Tim Spuckler. My first Northern. Amazing how large she is being less then two weeks old. There's something about the natural beauty of a Northern Pine that can't be beat. Thanks for looking. Steve

Thanks Todd. I don't have many pits in my collection, but the ones I do have I've been very selective with. Not that I don't want twenty more, but since some of them get to a rather large size, I try and have only a few. Easier on the rodent bill as well, LOL Steve

Hi Steve -

She's beautiful.

I totally agree. The northerns I have are awesome and the most popular snakes I have with the rest of the family. Aside from their killers looks mine are very easy to handle.

I even took the male to my 7 year olds class for Pet Day and he was a huge hit with all the kids.

My 09 female is pretty laid back considering she's not even 14 days old yet. Hard to believe these huge snakes are so secretive in the wild. Steve

No doubt Billy. I've always seen how much you love your Northerns. If it wasn't for Virginia's law, I'd love to have a pair and produce some of these beauties. But I'm pretty darn content on having just one of these gems as a pet.

Such awesome animals and so variable.

Gotta love the nice clean bold markings. Just a personal preference but give me a clean, bold wild type any day of the week

Beautiful snake.

Great looking animal Steve. You will love it. I had a pair of Notherns years ago that I got from Steve Osbourne and they were soem of my favorite snakes. Beautiful, inquisitive, hardy and lay HUGE eggs that hatch into HUGE babies. Just an awesome species to work with. And your hatchling looks really nice. Keep us posted as he grows.
