After laying 5w ago?

jeserlin Jun 30, 2009 09:07 PM

Hey guys,
I don't post much but I'm a bit concerned. I have a girl that layed around 5 weeks ago and now look at her..... Have any of you ever seen something similar to this? She obviously was fairly thin after she layed and has eaten but only once since then. Thanks in advance for any input.

Josh

Looks like some eggs left in there. How many did she lay?

She layed 7 healthy eggs. She layed all that were in her. She almost looks as if she is ovulating again though I doubt that is possible due to the short amount of time it has been since she layed, her lack of any reserves since she has eaten so little since she layed, and the fact that the bloating goes down to the end. She ate or- a week after laying. Very weird situation.

Thanks
Josh

Yep, I've had experience with a female that would do the same thing...After her initial breeding, she filled up with air (you could feel it when you ran your had down her belly) just like the one you have pictured. We just let her be and eventually it went away on its own. She did the same thing the next season and again it went away after awhile. Just my experience with this sort of thing...

Interesting, yea it does feel very soft to the point where it could very well be air. Thanks to everyone for the input.

Thanks
Josh

I was going to say she has an infection, still might, air huh?...might be gas...you need to try and feed her, offer what she eats then if she won't eat offer something else?...not huge meals, see if she let's the air out?....
