albino or sunglow? opinions plz

johnnyblazekfd Jul 01, 2009 12:46 AM

I just purchased a boa on the classifieds that was labeled as an albino and I thought it may have been a sunglow from the pics prior to buying. After receiving it, I am almost positively 100% certain it is in fact a sunglow. The company I purchased it from said it was from an albino to a het, and that is the only reason why I am not officially 100% certain it is a sunglow. The coloring is a little washed for a sunglow but the pattern says sunglow to me and there is practically no white rings around the tail. What is yall's opinion please? all opinions welcome, thanks for any input in advance....Jon

Looks like a Sunglow to me.

I'd definitely think it was a sunglow as well. So perhaps, either the albino parent was a low-expression sunglow as well and they couldn't tell... or the het albino was a really crummy hypo that they thought was a killer normal Who knows... it does happen and that really looks to be a sunglow to me too. Maybe the folks you bought it from can provide pics of the parents for your records and we can take a look at those?

Good pick up!

Funny thing is I totally thought the same thing when I was looking through the kingsnake ads a few weeks ago I sent a message to Gulf Coast asking that but they never replied. Very nice find non-the-less! The saddles that run along the tail and the head shape almost say I'm a BCC albino. Keep us posted as that beauty grows up.
regards,
Jake
