Never a camera

But at least I could get some bad cell phone pics. The clutch is a first for the female and the lock is her shot at a second clutch.

She is a beauty I love the long nuchal.
How long after the first clutch was laid did she lock up with the male again?
Just wondering, I am trying to double clutch two right now.

She pounded three mice and locked up 4 days after dropping the first batch... we put them togehter while feeding but not really expecting to see action... She has spent more time with him afterwords, but until good eggs are in the box it is not a double clutch.

It is now two weeks since she dropped a clutch of good eggs and she locked up again today.. and I watched a thayeri and alterna lock today as well as another thayeri female lift her tail to say hello to a clueless first timer male.

So all we can do is take good care of them and put them together, they have to figure the rest out. But to sum it up a lock after 4 days and another after 2 weeks... and maybe more I did not see in between.
