How to stop a snake from biting??

Mehen Sep 14, 2003 10:19 PM

Well today I went to the Reptile and Exotic show in South Carolina and bought a female ball python. I was holding her and she was fine, but I put her back into the cage and when I went to look into it a couple minutes later she striked at me. What can I do to get her to stop doing this?

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Nice handle, I have a sand boa named Mehen. Anyway, think of what sort of day the snake had. You'd probably be a little testy too. There's a decent chance it will settle down after being given a little while to settle in.
