Temporary housing?

HogBilly Jul 03, 2009 09:20 AM

Hey guys. The yearling ball is being taken on a moving car trip with me, but for a few days we'll be stopping with family.

I know the secure pillowcase plan is best for driving, but is there a small temporary cage that she could stay in during those few days? I don't trust 'reinforced' critter cages, been looking at the large lockable acrylic at Bean Farm but would like to know if there are any other (possibly better) options.

I really like the Sterilite storage tubs. Not the ones with the white tops (although these a good for rack setups), but the ones with the locking color tops. You can drill some holes in the sides for air, and even use a bungee cord for extra security on the top. These are portable and they work good. I dont think, for a quick temporary setup you can go wrong. Plus they are very inexpensive as well.

Have fun on the trip!
