Female eastern milk questions

ajfreptiles Jul 04, 2009 09:33 AM

I have a small juvi eastern milk female and I lucked out she is eating frozen thawed hoppers no problem at all.

My question is what advantage is there to putting this girl into breeding projects? Does the wild type add new possiblities with genetics or does it simply make the milk bloodline stronger?

I just was curious...Thanks Andy

are you breeding easterns?

is she pretty?

you doing locality snakes or generics?

is it legal in your state to have one? two? breed them? sell them?......

....snakes are snakes, they all add genetic diversity, wild or captives.....most people don't do easterns due to it not being legal .....

Most milksnake people will grill you about locality, where the snake and its mate were found. Most want locality matches, so you should try to find a male that eats like the female(babies generally eat better but obviously take ALOT longer to get to breed). Yes, make sure its legal for you to have them, and if its not you'd be better off swapping this project out to someone in a state where they are legal to deal with.
There are several genetic anomalies out in easterns now including the White side, albino, anerythristic, and lav albino and hypos have been found if not bred. If you havent bred eastern milks before I always suggest starting with a different species as they usually take a bit longer to grow to size.
