Great odds on a terrible clutch...

dzbreptiles Jul 04, 2009 07:12 PM

When this clutch was laid we were very disappointed to say the least. The female a 05 Spider het Albino bred by a Albino male laid 5 and 1/2 slugs and 1 and 1/2 good eggs.LOL We held no hope for the tiny little boob egg but the larger one looked good so what the heck. Into the incubator they went. Well after 53 days we cut the larger egg and Yahoo! we hit the odds with our very first Spider Albino. Two days later we cut the tiny little egg and again a Spider het Albino. Not bad for what looked like a total disaster. Can't wait for them to come out.

Happy 4th of July and best wishes to everyone this year. Debbie and Jeff

Wow! I wonder how many would have thrown out that second boob egg and not even tried . . . . Big congrats!

Thanks Alice. That little boob had one vein that I could see so we gave it a shot but never thought it would go the distance. Jeff

The little one came out last night and the Albino Spider this morning. I am loving the Albino Spider but that tiny little one is hot, hot. Enjoy. Jeff and Debbie

I had an egg similar to the one the little Spider hatched out of that looked a bit worse, and it molded right away. Glad you got something out of yours. The Spider is sweet, and I wish the Albino Spiders looked that good as adults. I think they look killer as babies! Great odds man.

Congrats Debbie and Jeff. Way to hang in there on that clutch! It definitely paid off. Beautiful snakes, especially the Albino Spider.

Thanks Scott. Second year in a row with that project and it didn't look good at the start. Never thought we'd hit it with those two eggs. The Albino Spider is a beauty but it ain't no Albino Pinstripe.LOL Those are amazing. Love that crazy orange color. Congrats yourself with a beautiful clutch. Jeff
