Was waiting on the variety from Suriname to keep a big one as a pet, but have not seen them offered in a while so would like to catch a big fat one for a pet.

Try the suburbs around artificial night time lighting. They will hang around light sources in search of an easy meal. I don't usually see huge ones in the wild here in South Florida. However, if you kept one and fed it alot I am sure they would get really big. I have around a half dozen that live around my outdoor goldfish pond. Good luck and happy hunting.
