Upset Python

I have a 10 month caramel, i recently bought him a new hide. He now just sets in there and never moves, its the cold side of his tank. He never moves, when i got to handle him he acts very nervous. Lots of tongue flicking and jerky movements. He is still feeding fine, and doesn't strike at me. His cage stays at a good temperature. ANY IDEAS!?

Stays in hide and doesn't move is pretty much what a happy ball python does. Tongue flicking is good as well.

If you are concerned about him being on the cool end too much you can move the hide over. Double check your temps on the hot side - he might be hanging on the cool side cause hot might be too hot. Otherwise he sounds like he is content.
