I Used To Be Afraid Of Bees Until.......

fgs Jul 06, 2009 01:11 AM

I hatched out these three gems.

I bred a bumble bee to a female spider. The spider layed 5 eggs. I ended up with 3 bumble bees, a pastel and a normal.

I hope everyone is having a great season.

Brian,

Very cool on your bees and also, one of the very few Spider X spider (Bee) clutches I've heard about!

Just wondering if this was the first clutch for the mom, or if you have a way of comparing her past clutch count with this breeding. You could have a super spider in there! (Or as the question about other clutches mom has would be to compare a lower egg count with this clutch to a higher egg count before to account for a homozygous lethal).

Also, very cool to see that you are from Campbell, I'm just down the road in Downtown San Jose and wasn't aware you are from the area. Also as a side note, when is the show in SJ and where?

Thanks,
Dan

Dino:

Thanks for the compliment.

I couldn't be happier with the quality or the way the odds worked out in my favor.
