Hi,
I'm looking into getting a Great Basin gopher snake (Pituophis catenifer deserticola). I've already gotten a general snake care book, as this will be my first snake, but I've realized I need a more specific book on snake care, either just about gopher snakes or just about the genus Pituophis.
I've looked high and low for books on the subject and haven't been able to find anything. Does anyone have any suggestions? If there aren't books, how did you learn more about the specific needs of your snake? Do you have any suggestions for me in the buying process (selecting a store/vendor, picking a specific snake, etc) or in the care of the snake?
