Yes, you read that correctly. I now have 1.2 possile het for albino. I received the BPs in trade for some website work and am enjoyng working with snakes again. It has been over a decade since I've worked with snakes, and I forgot how wonderful it is to have them. I have been so involved with various gecko projects and research and didn't think that I would ever have the time to work with snakes again. Well, we all know that geckos demand constant attention, but everything seems to be a little more laid back in the snake world (not on this forum, lol!). These little ones have, once again, sparked the interest that keeps me breeding, photographing and researching herps year after year (oh, and my wife really likes them too, huge plus!). I am a "Ball Python Forum" virgin, and I see there are many folks who regularly visit this site. I'm not one for lurking, so I decided to jump in...I'm sure the water's fine.

Anyhow, is your trio 50% het albinos, all three animals? The reason I ask is this: If your male is NOT a het, but your females both eventually prove to be hets, it would be a good idea to buy a 100% het male, to prove your females one way or the other. You can waste alot of time on a 50% poss het male, when male 100% hets are so cheap. A poss het Caramel, or pied, or clown is a different story. Male 100% het albinos from a big breeder should be around $150, do some haggling, maybe even less.

Good one! I'm sure that I will get a 100% het. albino in the future, but I want to work with these guys for a bit before I get other balls. I have an abundance of hatchling geckos right now, so most of my time is spent taking care of the juvies. Thanks for your input.
