Thanks John,
A couple of the ruthveni are awesome.I am waiting for them to shed so I can snap off some pics.
One small clutch of four hatched from my Diablo phase female and she was bred back to her father.I also hatched out six or seven from my founding pair that are now 13 years old.
Also have a clutch of five cooking from another pair I held back four years ago from the (96 f2 pair) and its there first time. They are much brighter and cleaner each generation and I can't wait to see what comes out in a couple weeks.
So, 2 clutches of the three are out from the Tapalpa Jalisco group and so far about half are pretty aberrant.

here are a couple pics for fun.
this is my (96) pair of f2 animals produced by Joe Pierce from the f1 animals he had from the Dallas Zoo stock.I saw pics of his f1 animals and there where no aberrancies on them to speak of.My pair of f2 animals have a few broken bands and a couple zippers but nothing to really wright home about either.

I had bought them from a friend in (02) and he had not been able to get a single good egg from them in 3 years of trying.I did my thing with them in the fall of (02) and in (03) I produced 8 nice babies.Nothing really stuck out in my mind on any of the eight babies in (03) but now looking at the clutch pic I can spot a few "marker" snakes for sure.
.jpg)
Then the next year (04) I was very shocked to see this.

now she looks like this.

I think there was only 5 good eggs that year and three others hatched out pretty normal looking. The fifth egg didn't hatch and when I opened it I found this heartbreaker.

Man was I bummed out, but heck I still had the other really cool one to look forward to.I took my time raising her up and at 5 years old this year she produced for the first time.Just four eggs but they where very large.Like I said I through her back on her father and sure enough all four hatched out pretty darn aberrant. One has all the weird side tiger markings but has more black across its back then the Diablo girl but I hope its a boy so I can raise him up and throw him back to his mom.
Anyway, in (05) I held back a pair of the best normal looking ones that where the cleanest. They also produced this year for the first time but I have a couple more weeks to go before they are out.
Here is one hatching from the (96) pair.It has much more snout ringing than most that I have produced. It is pretty normal looking and is going to be pretty tipped up.

this is the most aberrant from the (96) pair.little on the dark side but it has good white.

now here is one of the four that hatched from the f3 Diablo.See how much lighter and cleaner we are getting. And this is from the f3 back to her Father.I can't wait to see how light the solid f4 from the (05) pair will look.

Many more pics to come later. This has been a fun project and I am sure down the road I will get a totally or close to all patternless.

Those are pretty awesome Shannon....
I am looking forward to more pics....
I'm sure I will email you when I get back home....
Working in Louisiana right now
I guess you never want to breed the amel trait into those since the locale is specific on them?
I think it would ruin all the work to get the aberrancies...You would have to start all over.....

Yep, I have never and will never breed anything else into this line.
I have the Amaelco aberrants with the amel in them so what would be the point? Somebody else will probably do it but it won't be me.
