Mileniusz Spanowicz Contacted!!!

rpelaez Jul 08, 2009 08:48 PM

Scott, you were dead on! When I called the number I got the recording which said, I'm sorry but the person you called has a voice mail box that has not been set up yet...goodbye, then about 20 minutes later Mileniusz calls me back and we talked. He is back in Alpine. Yes, Buzz did provide a male, but it was classic looking Limpia. There were multiple males used on several females, but he was working only with Limpia alterna. He may have slides available of the parent stock. Scott, Russ and I have his cell phone number, and I have his email address in case Joe or anyone else wants to drill him. At this point, the clutch appears to be legit despite the inexplicable expression of blairs in the clutch, but what the hell do I know about Davis Mt. alterna lol.

The clutch 'appears' to be legit from the Spanowicz end. Our female that produced the "Odd" clutch was one of two siblings shipped to Russ by Buzz Ross who said they were bred by Spanowicz.

Mileniusz also mentioned something about Ric (Blair?) picking up a few of his Limpias - at least that was his recollection.

Robert, as I stated in the e-mail I am glad the number panned out for you. I have been following this thread since it started and decided to see what I could do to help. A few hours of searching and surfing plus a couple of phone calls and voila! Again, I'm glad it panned out. Take care!

So in reality, although the female is from Buzz's split of a clutch, it may not be from his loaner. Hopefully he can find the pics, it will interesting to see the founder stock. I still think it's an anomaly, from which end I’m not sure. She needs to be bred against a different male. Though this year’s clutch may be more surprising.
