Setting up a tank

SusannahJoy Jul 09, 2009 03:29 PM

Hello! I just bought a 55 gallon tank for snake cuz he has way outgrown his 20 gallon tank. The problem is that I'm not sure how to set up a tank that big. Right now the 20 gallon just has an under the tank heater, and no lights or anything (just ambient light from the room). Will that be ok with a tank that large or should I invest some lighting? Thanks so much for any help you can give me!

I assume for a kingsnake? If so, its no different. A kingsnake does not need a huge basking area at all. The rest of the cage can be ambient temps.
