Troy, is 1182, 1183 and 2328 under Brewster the same snake?

same snake

I'm sorry, but there's no way that a Hen Egg Christmas like this:

could have produced this:

and this:

unless of course it was bred with a black Limpia that was found eating a lizard on a bridge LOL

Troy,

Do you know if that snake was mature in 2000? I have a totally unrelated Xmas snake here that I think looks a lot closer to Marla's picture. The pattern on my snake from Mileniusz was really busy before it was obscured with black. You may be able to shed more light on this issue - I got in contact with Mileniusz through you back then.

probably 27-28" when photographed, plenty big for a wc male to produce plenty of little swimmers

IF YOU WANT TO KNOW CHECK WITH THE TRUE ALTERNA GURU CRIAG H.

Does Craig own that Hen Egg male now? It's damn nice and got really strong genetics to boot. I'd love to have some offspring from him, bred to an xmas female.

Craig?? e-mail me if you own this snake still.

Who is this "true alterna guru" Craig H.? I do not believe I have ever heard of him. Is the guru thing a joke and if not, why have I not heard of him. If he is (the true alterna guru), I guess I just do not hang around this site enough. LOL

Craig Hodgson has that snake on loan now. He didn't have anything to do with this nightmare though, and is a true locality breeder. Also he offered no opinion on this mess, and wishes to stay out of it.

We all know Craig, it's CYOTECH I'm wondering about LOL

and widows peaks are present in some fashion in all his offspring.

The evidence is becoming overwhelming IMO - and with that the dead horse has been beat into oblivion.

The horse still breathes, but is laying down gasping for air. Normally, I’m a good judge of character, but it’s looking more and more like this male was used to produce the 2000 clutches. The motive is still a little unclear to me (and that’s why the horse still breathes), but we can put that male in Alpine during 2000, so there was opportunity.

Thankfully I haven't produced/sold offspring from this snake or the typical looking male that died. I wouldn't be comfortable selling the offspring as locality pure at this point unless something new comes to light. It's a pity, because they are really nice looking snakes. None of the alterna folks I respected at the time questioned the source. I'll post pictures if my three eggs hatch - I'm sure Robert will do the same. Better safe than sorry...

who says he did it on purpose with a motive? who says he even knew about it? Maybe his wife or kid was playing with a snake and put it back in the wrong cage. Maybe he used it for combat and got a phone call or a knock on the door.

Your Horse is dead and gone Robert.

But not buried! This horse needs a proper burial, so I intend to make the funeral arrangements and tidy up some loose ends with Spanowicz.

What if anthing do you want to do about getting word out to the breeders who acquired this line?

Robert's right, this is a dead horse now. The offspring will make great PetSmart mutts. I should have chased this down 6 years ago when things were still somewhat fresh. It is a lesson learned; document, document, document.
