Long Beach Cal King w/eggs

byron.d Jul 09, 2009 11:37 PM

Came home today to find my pretty little Signal Hill female keeping her new batch company.

Here's the sire to her clutch.

and here's the field were she was collected.

I was surprised at the size of her eggs.... I have another lager female from that same field that also produced this season and her eggs were considerably smaller - smaller clutch too.

Thanks for looking.

Yeah, Byron, ditto to what Todd said. I am so tempted to give away my daughter's Sinaloan Milk to make room for a couple of those.

Yeah hopefully we can get a nice amount of moisture then. What's so cool about this breeding is the fact the male (hypermelanistic) is a tough morph to find in what little habitat is left in L.A. County, and only a certain part of the county at that. We lucked out finding this one so easy, I'm sure its really going to take some searching before we find the next. Good luck with those eggs.

I love it, those are gems.

I was standing in that very spot just the other day. Although I don't go into those fields persay, I do walk the fence line occasionally.
