Genetic Stripe Het Red Axanthic

CoreyWoods Jul 10, 2009 11:16 PM

This guys is really cool in person! One of the neat things about breeding Ball Pythons is speculating what will come out and then actually seeing them hatch.

I was curious to see what would happen when a reduced/no side pattern animal was bred with a very busy patterned animal. Would the busy pattern take over or would the reduced pattern wipe everything out? Well I have my answer now. It seems the Het Red Axanthic gene causes the Genetic Stripes to wipe out more pattern than usual.

I can't wait to produce the Red Axanthic Genetic Stripe. This guy is one very neat looking little guy!

This clutch looked like hell and his egg I thought had gone bad a while ago.......

Enjoy,
Corey

That's not at all what I expected......not that I had any specific expactations in mind, but I did assume there would be black lines.

Very nice Corey, congrats!

Interesting to see what some of the morphs are doing to the genetic stripe, kind of reminds me of the cinnamon g-stripe but lighter!
