I was wondering if the freshwater crocs that live in Australia, I believe they are nicknamed Freshies, are every available for sale? Thanks

Presuming you mean in the US they are scarcely ever available, to the best my knowledge anyway. I have seen them offered; but only very rarely and at a high price. A shame really, I think they would be much more suitable for most individuals to keep than the salt or nile crocodiles that quite unfortunately ,in my opinion, are so easy for almost anyone to get currently.

A word of caution: freshies are actually quite aggressive in captivity! I live in Oz, and have both freshies and salties. The salties are more relaxed and easier to handle than the freshies of similar size.
Of course, they don't get as large as the salties, but really, when you guys live in the USA where you have access to gators and caimans, you don't need freshies.
Oh - and in case anyone is 'concerned'as to why I have salties, I display them at schools etc. Under my license, we can do this until they are around 1.2m long. Believe me, after that they are very dangerous! Beautiful, though....
