Another First!

boaphile Jul 11, 2009 09:53 AM

First litter of Pastels born at the Boa Black hole this season that is:

Makes me feel warm and fuzzy. Not as warm and fuzzy as these guys did the other day:

But still warm and fuzzy all over. Now all I have to do is pretend like I'm not over anxious for these babies and for the next litters due in a few days.

Wish me luck.

What parents did these offspring come from?

boaphile Jul 11, 2009 11:01 AM

These are the parents of the Pastels:

This is the Momma:

This is the Pappa:

But they both have inverse tail stripes. These two are the fifth and sixth bloodlines of inverse tail striped animals I have bred successfully. There are a few inverse stripes in the litter but, there does not appear to be anything crazy in the litter. I didn't count the number with the inverse stripe yet but I don't think there are too many. So far only one bloodline of the six I have bred are genetic in a more dominant/co-dominant way. So it's clear to me that most inverse tail stripes are NOT genetic. I was hoping for something crazy, but that didn't happen.

Still, I am having a lot more fun now that I have babies to be looking at ever hour or so!

So were you thinking you'd get something along the lines of your pearlescent boas? super reversed stripe. Those two babies you have shown us apart from the others should have some great color when they shed out!

Killer bunch of Jungles Jeff. Great color and patterns. I'm sure many will end up in the Black Hole Vault, which is exactly what I would do!

love the color in those pastels too.

Dang Jeff!!!
How did you manage to get a whole litter of aberrant patterned Jungles? That's a heck of an accomplishment isn't it? Well maybe not for the Sensai Boa Grandmaster!
Are these Jungles het for anything, or are they just plain old outstanding Jungles? You definitely bEnT the wOW meter!!!

Then these Pastels are just A-plus...........WOW!!! Do they already have color or what! Some of those are going to be screamers, then SoMe of them already are!!! Congrats on these and then for sure..................

congrats on those Jungles!!! friggen WOw! The only flaw I can see with them is......there not here with me!

That isn't the entire litter. There are a number of normals and normal Hypos in the litter too. There are also a few Jungles that aren't so crazy. Not that I would be disappointed with an entire litter of crazy Jungles, but that didn't happen. Are the HET for anything? Het for Anerythristic Chaz! Their Momma is an Anery.

I remember reading about that pairing, just wasn't sure this was the one! That's cool that they turned out being really aberrant carrying the Anery gene. After seeing Bill's Anery Jungles, yours should definitely produce some winners!
