Where did all the Argentines go?

sra Jul 12, 2009 09:09 AM

Why don't we ever hear anything about Argentines anymore? I've always wanted at least a pair of these. I know at least a few of you guys has them. How big are your adults? What are they like to keep? If anyone wants to share any pictures of their Args, please do so. Thanks!

I have a good guess on why they are not as common as before. The
Pure Argentine Motleys, T Argentine Motleys and Max Pink Line
Motleys and T . I just turned one down that was close to 8' (female) mean (more tempermental than BCI, Occidentalis are a
little more snappy by nature IMO) and 30 LBS I would say. I love
how they keep higher prices as adults as well. BCO's are some
of the most incredible Boas out there on Locality Specific Boas

I hope this helps!! God Bless!!

I have a nice group of these that I am working with ... even had a couple more litters this year.

Dog tame, inquisitive, active, and about the same size as Columbians.

Sorry for my brevity, but I am swamped today.

Till Next Time ... Bill

Thanks for taking the time to post, Bill. The T s are always just incredibly stunning to see. I've always loved having my smaller locality boas but I think I might make the leap into working with bigger stuff after I move. Thanks for the tips and pictures, keep them coming!

I've got an 8' female. Love her. She has never bit me during normal handling but if I try to handle her when she is in shed she will hiss pretty loud. They are VERY aggressive feeders. She tagged me once when i made a stupid feeding mistake: I tried to take a rat(pre-killed) out when I thought she wasn't going to eat and I was using short tongs and she nailed me pretty hard. Totally my fault. Now I have nice long tongs. One of these days i will get her a male.
