A few new pictures of my yearling bairdis

As anyone who owns bairdis knows, it is very hard to capture the colors in young snakes.
Here are a few pictures of my yearling bairdis that show the color beginning to come through.

Their colours really do change rapidly, huh? My male just turned three and has gotten so nice in the last year or so... this is a pretty accurate representation of his colour.

baidi. They can really change alot in color and pattern from 1 to 3 years. At 1 is when you can start seeing some orange or red/orange color between the scales and the blotches are fading. The bairds rat snake is the only native ratsnake that exists that has stripes and transverse crossbars or blotches at different times in its life. Your 3 year old male turned out really nice looking.

I hope mine look that good when they get their full colors.
