My baby corn just died have no idea why?

jnreps Jul 13, 2009 12:52 AM

Hello
I have two corns right now. One is a snow the other one was a caramel montly. They eat every five days. I had a family trip to go on for one day. He was fine when I left(the montly) but I come back today which would of been day sixth after he was fed. I looked in his tank he was lying out of his hide which is weird becuse the ussaly don't come out but he was. I picked his up he was very lathargic barly any body movement or anything. He wasn't testing the air and barly even recpnising I was holding him.
I had to go to work and i came back and he had died while I was gone. My fiance said he was having labored breathing before i got home like 40 second intevels. Could someone diagnose this problem for me I'm afraid what has happen to him will happen the my snow. Thanks everyone very much I am reall heart broken over this.

I'm going to have to suggest that you edit your grammer and spelling before posting... I had a rather difficult time trying to get what you wrote.

Unfortunately no one can diagnose what happened by just a description, especially over the internet. If by chance you have refridgerated or frozen the body, then you can submit it to a veterinarian to be sent to a path lab and a postmortem(autopsy).

In the mean time I would monitor your other snake closely. At the first time of trouble, take him to your vet before it has time to progress.

Good luck and I'm sorry to hear about your loss.

Ian
