Baby boa has serious issue...

drpd Jul 13, 2009 10:50 AM

I produced a clutch of normal baby boas 3 months ago. All babies have eaten multiple meals and doing great…except for one.

This specific neonate refused food last week. Prior to that, she had eaten without hesitation weekly. This week I tried again, and that’s when I noticed it. She has severe neurological disorder, her head was twisting and turning and wouldn’t stop. I don’t know what to do. No other symptoms have been observed.

Since brith she had been hosued alone and has always been alone. Both parents are healthy snakes. It just suddenly happened.

Any idea on what this could be and how I should treat it?

Thanks,

J.C.

Hows the temps in her cage? Any cahnce you may have had a heat issue you didn't know aboput or has it been really hot where your at lately? Overheating can cause the neuro issues.

The temps were fine...mid 80's ambient.

I don't understand this one at all.
