Eggs wet and turning brown

livinginvestment Jul 13, 2009 02:39 PM

One egg was tossed because it began to smell. Now another one is wet where the browning is taking place. I separated it and will wait to see what happens. The others remain white and dry. Is this a sign that it may be infertile or that the eggs is dead?

Thanks,

Kenny

if they dont smell, incubate them. i just had brown wet looking eggs hatch, some pipped moments ago even. i was not so sure about their health at first but now im happy i didnt give up on them. i guess the female must have some sort of a deficiency or something. so far all the hatchlings seem healthy.

They dont "stink" like they are rotten but have a odd smell. I tossed one and seperated 3 to be safe. Thanks for the info. I will hole on as long as they dont begin to rot.
