Producing Translucents......

ARIES54 Jul 14, 2009 07:49 AM

Hi everyone. As some of you may know, I just recently got into the bearded dragon hobby. So, I'm still learning all of their genetics. In order to produce translucents, do I need to have two Translucents to breed together? Or if I were to breed my female translucent with my male red, would I get some red translucents?
When I was producing ball pythons, I loved breeding pastels and spiders due to their dominent gene. I could pair one of them up with a normal, and still get that color phase. Is there a genetic trait in beardies like that?

Thanks for your time.

Hi

Translucents are resecive so it works the same as with the ball python albino's.

so you need 2 translucents or Het Translucents.
