Dr Bechtel snake pics from long ago.

HDEAN Jul 14, 2009 01:28 PM

I had the pleasure of visiting Dr Bechtel a long time ago and he let me take a few pics of snakes I hadn't ever scene before in person. This was way before the internet and we used to travel hours sometimes just to see one grayband. Anyway he let me use a makeshift barnboard background he used for pics. Here's the pics. He was probably the nicest person I've ever meet. Everytime he saw me he remembered my name and always talk to me like I was veteran herper and not the newbie I was back then. I will miss him.

Thanks for sharing Henry. I think you were lucky to have met him, I always wanted too. I hope many people realize how much he did for us in this hobby.
