Day 49 and still no eggs?

jamesalternafan Jul 15, 2009 04:59 PM

I am kind of new to ball pythons and am not sure if this is a concern. She showed all the signs of being gravid and has gotten huge even though she has not been eating for the last couple weeks. I have her on aspen with a smaller than usual water dish so she will not lay in it. I also had a moss and vermiculite lay box but I have since removed it. When do I need to be gravely concerned about her not laying?

Should I go to the vet and is there a cheaper alternative than a vet visit that I might try before the visit?

Thanks
James Sfregola

I'm on day 46 for my het albino female. She gave me albinos the last 2 years. First year she layed after 32 days and the second year 34 days. Actually all 4 of my females always lay between 32 and 34 days. This is the longest wait for me yet. Hope this girl goes soon, i wont worry yet.
