Humidity box idea

ronald_durst Jul 15, 2009 10:09 PM

A Few weeks ago i posted about a humidity box for my snakes. I thought about it and thought about it and finally i came up with this idea out of pvc. It put moist paper towels in it and mist it down. It goes in the hot side...the moisture last about four days. Ive got a small hole in the back for a temp probe. I pulled this one out from my red tails cages today. She was underneath on the heat pad. But i had a full perfect shed still moist in the pipe. Now i just gotta get my baby balls to shed....Thanks

Thats a good idea, only thing I would worry about is them getting heat. Maybe remove the bottom piece and put the tube right on the heat, I would watch the temps in there also make sure plastic does not get to hot.

Not bad, not the most aesthetically pleasing design, perhaps, but I like the generally form that you came up with. I think I might take your design and "tinker" with it a little bit. It'll be a good project for me and my son to work on.

I like it and I'm glad to hear that it worked as well as you had hoped!

Good but for me, everything my snakes are in shed.

I just put a humid towel in the cage. Create humidity, and if the towel is not too soft, it will help them.
