I've been into reptiles my whole life, but this animal is stumpimg me big time. My girlfriend took this picture at Homassasa wildlife park.

I was kind of thinking some ornate or hypoish Nile, but the head seems way to blunt for that. Any help?

It's not just a niloticus?
It looks like an Ornate

That's a Nile. Drive about 3.5 hours south to see them roaming freely. 
Ornates have much more massive heads, pink tongues, nostrils situated closer to the eye than snout tip and usually only 4-5 bands of ocelli.
I'm not doubting you,but to me it looks more ornate than nile.
