I can't help but share my excitement! It's my second season breeding ball pythons and it's been pretty miserable so far. One of my breeder pastel females passed away a few months ago for no apparent reason. My other pastel female doesn't look like she is taking and was losing a decent percent of her body weight so I've halted all her breeding activities. Fortunately she began feeding again and is consuming rats like a fiend.
The silver lining in all of this!...
My mojave female is gravid and the drop date is within sight. She was paired with my super horny black pastel male. I tossed him in as I was hunting for a lesser/butter male. My dad said he would only raise a snake if it was pure white so this clutch was not one I was highly anticipating for but... I just googled black pastel mojaves and to date none have been produced. I've read that ozzyboids has placed this on their project list but so far no updates. Could it be... is it possible... that I might be able to produce the first black pastel mojave?!
