Im new to the site so first off hello. I got a great deal on the snake and the tank regardless if hes a morph or not. He has a good temperment, doesnt mind being handled and eats very well. Anyway I was wondering if any of you guys can tell if he is or isnt a carmel from a few pics just so I know. thanks alot.

looks like he could possibly be a ghost but not the best pic to tell for sure. If it is a Normal does have some nice blushings and a light head.

thanks for the all the info. The previous owner said he came from a breeder and was purchased as a carmel. Hes a great snake and thats all I really care about. I have alot of homework to do on ball python genetics ,, slowly but surely. thanks again

One more thing -- you don't want to keep his cage that wet -- he may get belly rot. Good luck with your new addition.

On a related note, I once had a guy try to trade for some snakes with a ball python that was "part pinstripe". Needless to say, I did not make that trade.

I just got done misting the cage when those pics were taken. the beding will be totally dry within 40 minutes after a misting like that due to it having a screen top.

While a screen top does leave the humidity lower than desired, it doesn't mean you need to drench the entire cage. Cover part most of the screen with plexiglass, or something similar. Misting like that on a regular basis will cause much more harm than good.
