Big Fat Dragon?

but no lumps
is she ok? She is off her feed (she did take 2 crickets this am, but has not been eating meal worms, or night crawlers for days (they just end up dried and dead at the end of the day, or the next morning).
Could this be Gravid behavior, even if I cannot feel eggs (just softer lumps (maybe ribs I think))

I wouldn't think gravid but it is hard to tell early on. The problem here is that the abdomin will be puffy and soft but you can't feel eggs if she is gravid and if she isn't it is possible that she could have an impaction. I am not sure how to determine if there is impaction but would suggest some warm soaks if she isn't soaking on her own and keep an eye out for fresh feces. If she isn't deficating normally then blockage could be the problem. Early on during the egg bearing process they don't usually go off their feed but rather turn into little piggies.

Hope she shakes it off soon. Let us know if you notice any other changes.

She has not been passing much stool
and how warm the water should be? 70 Degrees? More? Less?
I have a perfect container for that, but wouldn't the Vet have noticed if her belly being big was an impaction?
it does not feel hard, it feels soft, like a moderatly normall belly (on a human) except for those floating hard places I orrig thought were eggs
not hard and rigid like someone with an impaction (I M an RN after all) but maybe mamal Phisiology does not help here
warm water it is (bairly warm to the touch, right?)

She was a big piggie for a while, and I did soak her last night. Starting temp almost 80 (TEMP GUN), then I put the dish on my belly while she was soaking, and the temp went up to mid 80s
She did poop afterwards, but just one smallish one, and softish, but not in the water
I took her out when she did jump out, but the water felt cool to my hand so I do not think I was burning her
She does not look any less puffy, and she keeps climbing up the one branch, and actually seems like she does not know how to climb dowm, or just does not want to.
Her color is frequently pale green like in the old Pic (when I M not soaking her, or moving her or anything in the tank, then she is more dark (hiding))
I just do not want anything bad to happen to her, or her to be uncomfortable, and that is the only reason I can think of why she would not be eating the Nightcrawler mignion I keep giving her (she does eat one or two of the crickets I give her)

If her color is good I wouldn't be too concerned. I have a couple that have been puffy from time to time. Is she large enought, I mean long enough to be gravid? They can become gravid at 4.5-5" snout to vent. They can also become gravid without having been bred but the eggs would be infertile. I had one very young one that developed infertile eggs and she didn't act at all like most gravid females. She hadn't been around a male so I know the eggs weren't good and perhaps she did too. She didn't do any of the normal things like digging, soaking, hunger strike either. She just sort of dropped the eggs as if they were poo. They were scattered all over, some where they deficate, some around the water and food bowls and some below the branch she was sitting on.

So, I guess I am saying I wouldn't rule this out as a possibility but would be watchful for possible problems. If she becomes sluggish to the point of laying on the substrate all the time or gets very dark and looks sunken in around the eyes get her in to be checked.

Keep us posted of any changes,
Marcia

Like I said in ONE of these posts, she looks good, QUIET but good color
just hanging out on her branch, not moving around much at ALL
her poop was softer than normal, and not formed like normal
and the nightcrawlers just go to waste (last good meal she had was supwerworms the weekend after Labor day
she MIGHT be digging up red wrigglers from the substrate, but I have never seen her dig except to poo, not even dig into the dirt in the food dish to get at the worms hiding in there (I have to give them a minimum of dirt, or she will not get them)
