What kind of a dirt substrate?

Hello,
Id like to try some kind of dirt,for my indoor rhino cage.(4'x10').
I was using the aspen chips ,not bad ,but my whole basement is covered with a film of wood dust.
Can anyone recommend something safe,and not to expensive, maybe
something I can get at home depot or a garden center.

inside i keep mine on sand seems to pass well and no dust my cage is 12 ft x 10 ft. also easy to clean by sifting.
