WOW! Fab little snake. A quick couple of Q's... Were they part of the V. urnsii complex or have they always been seperate? And where do they come from? Again, super little snake!

Hi Lee,

this species is relative new (in 1995 described by Nilson et al.) in the ursinii-group. As far as I know this was the first description of this species, so it never had another status/name. In its distributionrange are no other relatives of the ursinii-group found. This species lives at the northern side of the kaukasus.
