Lemon Pastel VPI Axanthic

JCarr1 Jul 22, 2009 11:40 AM

Here is a group shot of my most recent hatch. This is a NERD line Lemon Pastel x VPI Axanthic. Clearly I missed the Axanthic Lemon Blast, but I do have another cluth cooking! Strange what the het axanthic gene does to the regular pastel and Lemon Blasts. I produced 2 Lemon Blasts 2 years ago to start this project and they were strange looking also. The gray just bleeds through like it's begging to come out! Wish me luck on the next clutch!

The dad was a lemon blast het axanthic and the mom was a het axanthic. 2 years ago I bred my lemon blast (I produced) to my VPI axanthic (purchased from Brian Sharp) and got 2 male lemon blasts het axanthic, a pair of pins het axanthic, and a pair of het axanthics. I attached a pic of that litter. I have another clutch cooking bred by my other Lemon Blast het axanthic to the original axanthic mom. Hope this helps!

That's awesome Jared...a huge congrats! That pastel almost looks like a paradox of some sort so I can see where you say it bleeds through. Best of luck on the next clutch and looking forward to the big combo!
